Carnate[]
A homemade explosive device, consisting of a beer bottle, rag, and gasoline or other flammable liquid. Known as a "poor man's grenade", it is thus the quintessential prisoner's weapon. After the rag is lit, it can be thrown at an enemy. It shatters upon contact, igniting whatever it hits. Very useful in dealing with Festers and Festering Rats.

The Molotov appears slightly different in The Suffering: Ties that Bind, as the bottle is a light green. With little more than three ingredients (rag, bottle, and flammable liquid), this is as good as a grenade for rioters. This is also a staple of Eastern Correctional prisoners' weapons, and has seen action in more than one prison riot. Useful when dealing with Wretches or other flammable opponents.
