Kyle is a young man that Torque encounters in his apartment building and is clearly coming down off a high and is badly addicted to a drug, likely heroin. It appears that, on some CCTV footage that Torque may have assisted him by escorting him to another apartment where he found his stash. Due to his drug problem, he thinks Torque is his father, and relies on him for protection.
After finding and using the drugs in his stash, he finally noticed his friend Freddy on the floor. Freddy clearly committed suicide with a shotgun. A fact that Kyle did not previously notice despite the fact that the body was laying right in front of the door. It is believed that Freddy accidentally shot and killed his younger brother prior to his own suicide.
