Grenades created to blind and disorient an enemy. A non-lethal weapon, it is still useful against humans and monsters for stunning purposes. If not careful player can blind himself for a couple of seconds.
Despite being considered a non-lethal weapon, Flash-Bang Grenades, like all other thrown weapons, are capable of instantly killing Burrowers if thrown into the holes they create after they emerge from the ground.
