Canal Street Mission is a Christian mission located in Baltimore, featured in Chapter 5 of The Suffering: Ties That Bind.
History[]
There's a story of a reverend who was once part of a soup kitchen that was likely ran out of the mission. When food ran out, rather than letting them starve, he began to serve meat from human corpses to his patrons. The people eventually rallied against him when they learned of what he had done. This story is one of two legends believed to be linked to the origins of the gorgers.
Gameplay[]
When meeting one another in Baltimore (in Chapter 5), Hejira asked Torque to escort him to Canal St. Mission where he was supposed to find his friends. When the two reach the place, Hejira is shocked to find none of them there. He stops at Canal Street Mission to wait for them while Torque continues on his path to the Grand Theater.
